Strips of puff pastry

1 puff pastry dough, rolled into a rectangle (approx. 25 × 42 cm)
2tbsp red tapenade
1tbsp flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
12slices dry-cured country bacon, halved lengthwise

How it's done

Strips of puff pastry

Roll out the pastry, spread the tapenade and parsley over the top, cut the pastry lengthwise into 12 strips of equal width. Place 2 strips of bacon on each.

Shaping

Skewer the strips of pastry to create a wave pattern with a tip at the top. Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake

Approx. 13 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220°C.

Tip: Use olive tapenade instead of tomato tapenade.
