Springtime is rhubarb time
Botanically speaking, rhubarb is a vegetable, even if its taste is more reminiscent of apples and lemons and one might therefore intuitively think of it as a fruit. The first rhubarb plants probably grew in Tibet or Mongolia, but today you can get the vegetable freshly harvested from local cultivation during the rhubarb season in spring and early summer. And another tip for those who like it a little sweeter: the redder the rhubarb, the sweeter it tastes!
