500g tomatoes, cut into chunks
1 onion, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
3tbsp honey
3tbsp soy sauce
2tbsp tomato puree
3tbsp whiskey (e. g. Jameson Irish Whiskey)
¼tsp salt
¼tsp cayenne pepper
1tsp whiskey
Purchase ingredients now

How it's done

Place the tomatoes and all the other ingredients up to and including the cayenne pepper in a pan, bring to the boil while stirring, reduce the heat, simmer for approx. 20 mins. until the mixture thickens, puree and pass through a sieve. Stir in the whisky.
