Basic

4 raw pork bratwurst
4 baguettes (approx. 100 g each)

Classic Hot Dog

20g iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced
20g gherkins, thinly sliced
½tbsp mayonnaise
½tbsp ketchup
20g dried fried onions

Grilled fennel rocket dog

1tbsp mayonnaise
1tbsp sweet chilli sauce
½ fennel, thinly sliced
1tsp lemon juice
2pinches salt
10g rocket

Breakfast hot dog

30g diced bacon
1 egg, beaten
1tbsp chives, finely chopped
2pinches salt
a little pepper
2 cherry tomatoes, quartered

Exotic hot dog

2tbsp curry sauce
¼ mango, cut into strips
½ spring onion incl. green part, cut into rings
1tbsp cashew nut, roughly chopped

How it's done

Basic

Charcoal/gas/electric grill:

Classic Hot Dog

Place the salad leaves in a baguette, add 1 sausage and gherkins. Add mayonnaise and ketchup, garnish with the fried onions.

Grilled fennel rocket dog

Combine the mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce. Grill the fennel over/on a medium heat (approx. 200°C) for approx. 1 min. on each side. Transfer to a bowl, add the lemon juice, season with salt. Fill a baguette with the sauce and rocket, insert 1 sausage, add the fennel

Breakfast hot dog

Fry the bacon in a non-stick frying pan for approx. 1 min. Mix the egg and chives, season, pour into the pan, allow to solidify slightly, shake the pan until the egg mixture is just firm but still moist. Place 1 sausage in 1 baguette, add the scrambled egg, garnish with the cherry tomatoes.

Exotic hot dog

Spoon the sauce and mango into 1 baguette. Add 1 sausage and the spring onions, sprinkle with cashew nuts
