2tbsp sesame oil
2tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp fish sauce
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1tbsp ginger, grated
1tbsp cane sugar


500g minced meat (beef)
½tbsp sesame oil
250g bean sprouts
1 lime, use only the juice
½tsp salt
a little pepper


2tbsp apple vinegar
1tbsp sesame oil
1tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp liquid honey
1tsp chilli flakes
¼tsp salt
3 spring onions incl. green parts, cut into thin strips
1 cucumber, peeled, deseeded, cut into thin strips
1 red pepper, cut into thin strips

How it's done


Combine the oil with all the other ingredients up to and including the sugar. Set aside half of the marinade.


Mix the mince with the remainder of the marinade. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the meat for approx. 4 mins., add the bean sprouts and lime juice, pour in the reserved marinade, season.


In a bowl, mix the vinegar with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt. Add the spring onions, mix, leave to infuse for approx. 5 mins. Stir in the cucumber and pepper.
