This recipe, which generated quite a buzz on social media, requires only a handful of basic ingredients. The irresistible combination of banana, chocolate and peanuts as well as the fact that it is quick and easy to make explain why this “bark” engenders such immense enthusiasm.

2 bananas, in slices
4 tbsp peanut cream
80 g unsalted peanuts
100 g dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 tbsp coconut flake
1 pinch sea salt

Arrange the banana slices side by side on a baking tray lined with baking paper to form a rectangle. Spread the peanut butter and peanuts on top. Melt the chocolate in a thin-sided bowl over a gently simmering bain-marie, stir until smooth, pour over the bananas. Sprinkle with coconut flakes and fleur de sel. Freeze for approx. 2 hrs., cut into pieces.
