Mixture

400 g minced meat (beef and pork)
2 garlic cloves, squeezed
1 onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
25 g toast bread, cut into cubes
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
1 tbsp peppermint, finely chopped
½ tbsp oregano, finely chopped
¾ tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp salt
a little pepper

Fry

1 tbsp olive oil

How it's done

Mixture

Place the mince in a bowl, add the garlic and all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, mix. Knead well by hand until the ingredients form a compact mass. With wet hands, shape the mixture into approx. 16 balls.

Fry

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the meatballs for approx. 6 mins. all over.

Good to know
Tip: Instead of beef and pork mince, use lamb mince.
Tip: Garnish with 1 tbsp of finely chopped flat-leaf parsley.
