There's a new trend sweeping bars, clubs and roof terraces this summer. Instead of being served with ice, our favourite cocktails are now coming to us as ice! We'd already started to see these frozen cocktails popping up here and there last year, but now they have a trendy name and are an absolute must for any summer party. The word "poptail" is a combination of the words popsicle and cocktail. These tipsy ice lollies can be made in all kinds of different flavours – simply check out the bar menu.

Ice mixture

2 ½ dl orange juice

2 dl water

½ lemons, the whole juice

2 tbsp icing sugar

½ organic oranges, in slices, halved

½ organic lemons, in slices, halved

Sangria poptails

7 ½ dl red wine (e. g. fruity)

How it's done

Ice mixture

Thoroughly mix the orange juice, water, lemon juice and icing sugar in a measuring cup. Divide the orange and lemon slices between the ice lolly moulds, fill with the orange juice, freeze for approx. 12 hrs., inserting the ice lolly sticks after approx. 2 hrs.

Sangria poptails

Pour the wine into glasses, place one ice lolly in each glass.
