Katja is a Project Leader of the culinary division of Coop. She’s responsible for making sure that FOOBY is visible and noticeable in the Coop outlets and that the FOOBY visual world is appealing.

Which dish do you enjoy cooking the most?

Different variations of risotto – for example, with salmon, pumpkin or asparagus.

How did you first get into cooking?

My father is the cook of the family; on Sundays he would spend the whole day in the kitchen and prepare a wonderful dinner for us. I think I have him to thank for my cooking genes.

What is your favourite food at the moment?

I love pizza! My favourite pizza is with figs, dry-cured ham, rocket and honey (but homemade, of course, not frozen pizza). 

What can you not stand the smell of?

Mussles.

What is an absolute necessity in your fridge?

Milk (for my breakfast and my coffee).

What is your favourite restaurant?

I love the «Albergo Ristorante Centovalli» in Ticino – they have the best risotto in the world. 

I recently discovered sweet potatoes – either baked, mashed or in a curry.
