What she most loves to cook? Risotto in many different varieties.
Katja never leaves the house without having breakfast. But after 10 a.m. too, the project manager is passionate about food. She is particularly keen on Italian cuisine. Even as a child, Katja's favourite food was spaghetti with tomato sauce – now she cooks tasty risotto varieties or bakes crispy pizzas that would make any pizzaiolo green with envy.
As a Social Media & Content Manager at FOOBY, Katja is responsible for ensuring that the social media channels are full of great recipe ideas and cooking tips every day.
Which dish do you enjoy cooking the most?
Many different risotto varieties (such as mushroom, pumpkin or asparagus, depending on the season).
How did you first get into cooking?
My father is the cook of the family; on Sundays he would spend the whole day in the kitchen and prepare a wonderful dinner for us. I think I have him to thank for my cooking genes.
What is your favourite food at the moment?
I just love pizza! Preferably with courgette, mint and a poached egg.
What can you not stand the smell of?
What is an absolute necessity in your fridge?
Almond or oat milk (for muesli and coffee).
What is your favourite restaurant?
I love the «Albergo Ristorante Centovalli» in Ticino – they have the best risotto in the world.
I recently discovered sweet potatoes – either baked, mashed or in a curry.
