Onions

300 g red onions (e.g. ProSpecieRara Rouge de Genève), sliced
6 sprig thyme
4 garlic cloves, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
1 tsp sugar
¼ tsp salt

Dip

250 g plain organic cream cheese
100 g sour single cream
salt and pepper to taste

Utensils

One ovenproof dish (approx. 1 l), greased

Onions

Mix the onions with the remaining ingredients in the prepared tray.

To roast

Approx. 45 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C, mixing 1-2 times.

Dip

Puree half of the onions with the cream cheese and sour single cream until smooth, season. Place the dip in a bowl, top with the remainder of the onions.

Good to know
Serve with: vegetables, bagels and crackers.
