Syrup
Bring the water and all the other ingredients to the boil while stirring. Reduce to a syrupy consistency for approx. 40 mins. over a medium heat.
While still boiling hot, pour the syrup through a sieve into the clean, warmed bottle and fill to just below the rim. Seal immediately and leave to cool.
| Shelf life: | Store the lemon syrup in a cool, dark place for approx. 2 months. Once opened, keep the bottle in the fridge and consume the syrup quickly. |
