Beef stroganoff
Ingredients
for 4 person
500 g | beef rump, one whole piece |
1 tbsp | peanut oil |
1 tsp | salt |
a little | pepper |
2 | onions |
2 | red peppers |
250 g | mushrooms |
1 ½ tsp | sweet paprika |
1 tbsp | peanut oil |
2 dl | meat bouillon |
1 ½ tsp | Maizena cornflour |
1 dl | full cream |
100 g | gherkins |
How it's done
Meat
Cut the meat into approx. 1 ½ cm cubes, brown all over in hot oil in a frying pan for approx. 2 mins., remove, season.
Vegetables
Finely chop the onions, slice the peppers into strips and slice the mushrooms. Heat the oil in the same pan and sauté the vegetables and paprika for approx. 5 mins. Add the stock and bring to the boil.
Sauce
Stir the cornflour into the cream, pour in, simmer over a medium heat for approx. 5 mins. Cut the gherkins into thin strips, add with the meat and heat gently.
