Matcha figs

If you're partial to stuffed dates, you'll love this combination! Dried figs are filled with a creamy matcha mixture. A walnut at the centre and a shell of dark chocolate provide extra crunch. This snack is the perfect energy boost for in between meals or when you fancy something special and out of the ordinary.

Ingredients

for 16 pieces

Figs
16  dried figs, cut lengthwise
3 tbsp white almond cream
2 tsp matcha powder
16  walnut kernels
Coating
120 g dark chocolate, finely chopped
1 tbsp coconut oil
½ tsp matcha powder

How it's done

Figs

Combine the almond butter and matcha, spread over the cut surfaces of the figs. Place a walnut kernel between the two halves of each fig.

Coating

Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a thin-sided bowl over a gently simmering bain-marie, stir until smooth. Dip the figs into the chocolate using a toothpick, place them on baking paper and leave to dry slightly Dust with matcha powder, leave to dry.
