Porridge with stewed plums
Ingredients
for 2 people
| 250 g | plums, cut into approx. 2 cm pieces |
| 1 tbsp | sugar |
| ¼ tsp | cinnamon |
| 2 tbsp | water |
| 4 dl | milk |
| ½ tbsp | sugar |
| 100 g | fine whole-grain rolled oats |
| 30 g | pecan nuts, roasted, coarsely chopped |
How it's done
Plums
Mix the plums, sugar, cinnamon and water in a pan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for approx. 6 mins. until soft, set aside.
Porridge
Place the milk and sugar in a pan, bring to the boil while stirring. Reduce the heat, add the oats, simmer over a low heat for approx. 5 mins. until soft, stirring occasionally.
To serve
Plate up the porridge, top with the nuts and the reserved plums.
