Orange and date crumble
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 60 g | rolled oats |
| 60 g | walnut kernels, coarsely chopped |
| 40 g | white flour |
| 30 g | sugar |
| ¼ tsp | ground cardamom |
| 2 pinch | nutmeg |
| 2 pinch | salt |
| 60 g | butter, cut into pieces |
| 4 | oranges, cut into approx. 1 cm slices |
| 100 g | Medjool dates, pitted, quartered |
| 1 | orange, the whole juice |
How it's done
Crumble
In a bowl, mix the oats and all the ingredients up to and including the salt. Add the butter, rub together using your hands to form a crumbly mixture.
Oranges
Arrange the oranges and dates in the prepared dish, pour over the orange juice. Top with the crumble.
To bake
Approx. 25 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly and serve just warm.
