Breaded feta with honey and chilli dip
Ingredients
for 2 people
| 40 g | panko breadcrumbs |
| 1 tbsp | white flour |
| 3 tbsp | water |
| 200 g | feta, cut into approx. 2 cm cubes |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| ½ tbsp | soy sauce |
| 1 tbsp | lemon juice |
| 1 tbsp | liquid honey |
| ¼ tsp | chilli flakes |
How it's done
Feta
Place the breadcrumbs and flour each into a shallow dish. Pour the water into a deep dish. Toss the feta in the flour until it is coated on all sides, shake off the excess. First dip the feta in the water, then in the breadcrumbs until coated on all sides, pressing firmly on the crumb coating. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the feta for approx. 8 mins. until golden brown, turning occasionally.
Sauce
Place the soya sauce and all remaining ingredients in a small bowl, mix well, serve with the feta.
