Mate and hibiscus iced tea
Ingredients
for 2 litres
| 2 tbsp | Yerba Mate |
| 5 bag | rose hip tea with hibiscus |
| 1 ⅓ litre | water, boiling |
| 40 g | ginger, finely grated |
| 80 g | sugar |
| 3 tbsp | lemon juice |
| 6 dl | water, chilled |
| some | ice cubes |
| 20 g | ginger, in slices |
How it's done
Iced tea
Place the tea in the boiling water, remove the pan from the heat. Add the ginger and stir, then leave to infuse for approx. 5 mins. Pour the tea through a sieve into a large jug or a bowl. Add the sugar, stir. Pour in the lemon juice and water, leave to cool. Chill the iced tea for at least 2 hrs.
To serve
Pour the iced tea into glasses with ice cubes, garnish with ginger.
