Lettuce bites
Ingredients
for 20 pieces
1 | onion, cut into thin rings |
1 ½ tbsp | white flour |
1 tbsp | clarified butter |
1 pinch | salt |
3 | hard-boiled eggs, coarsely chopped |
150 g | cream quark |
½ tbsp | mild mustard |
½ bunch | chives, finely chopped |
½ tsp | salt |
a little | pepper |
2 | baby lettuce, leaves removed |
½ bunch | chives, finely chopped |
How it's done
Fried onions
Mix the onion and flour in a deep dish. Heat the clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat, add the onion and fry for approx. 8 mins., turning regularly, until light brown, season with salt. Remove the onion rings, drain on paper towels.
Egg mixture
Place the eggs, quark, mustard and chives in a bowl, mix, season.
Lettuce bites
Spread the egg mixture on the lettuce leaves, arrange on a platter. Sprinkle with the fried onions and chives.
