Baked red chicory
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
| 4 sprig | marjoram, finely chopped |
| ½ tbsp | liquid honey |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 400 g | red chicory, stalk cut lengthwise into quarters |
| 1 | red onion, cut into rings |
| 40 g | walnut kernels, roasted, coarsely chopped |
| 100 g | blue cheese, cut into pieces |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | organic orange, use a little grated zest and 1 tbsp of juice |
| 1 tbsp | white balsamic vinegar |
| 3 sprig | marjoram, finely chopped |
| 1 tsp | liquid honey |
| salt and pepper to taste |
How it's done
Chicory
Whisk the oil, garlic, marjoram and honey in a bowl, season. Add the chicory and onion, mix, transfer to the prepared dish.
To bake
Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove from the oven, plate up the chicory.
To serve
Top with the nuts and cheese. Combine the oil with the remaining ingredients, drizzle on top.
