Ingredients

for 60 pieces

Batter
250 g white flour
150 g sugar
1 parcel baking powder
1 pinch salt
50 g butter, melted, left to cool
eggs, beaten
2 dl milk
100 g crème fraîche
organic orange, use grated zest
vanilla pod, cut lenghtwise, seeds scratched out
Waffles
a little  clarified butter
  icing sugar, to dust

How it's done

Batter

Place the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl, mix. Add the butter and all the other ingredients up to and including the vanilla seeds, whisk to form a smooth batter.

Waffles

Heat the waffle iron, brush with a little clarified butter. Place approx. 3 heaped tbsp of batter onto the waffle iron for each waffle. Cook the waffles for approx. 5 mins., remove, leave to cool on a rack. Repeat these steps with the remainder of the batter. Cut the waffles into 6 equal squares, dust with icing sugar.
