Fondue buns with masala
Ingredients
for 8 pieces
| 500 g | white flour |
| 1 ½ tsp | salt |
| 1 tbsp | garam masala (e.g. Fine Food) |
| ½ cube | yeast (approx. 20 g), crumbled |
| 3 dl | water |
| 2 tbsp | liquid honey |
| a little | white flour |
How it's done
Dough
Mix the flour, salt, garam masala and yeast in a bowl. Add the water and honey, mix, knead for approx. 10 mins. to form a soft, smooth dough. Cover the dough and leave to rise at room temperature for approx. 1½ hrs. until doubled in size.
Buns
Divide the dough into 8 portions, shape into balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Flatten the balls slightly, dust with a little flour, cover and leave to rise for a further 30 mins. Flatten the balls again slightly, score a cross approx. 2 cm deep into the balls using a knife.
To bake
Approx. 20 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220°C. Remove from the oven, leave the buns to cool on a rack.
