Halloumi fries
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 80 g | white flour |
| ½ tsp | paprika |
| 500 g | halloumi, cut into fries approx. 1 cm thick |
| oil, for deep-frying |
| 4 tbsp | pomegranate seeds |
| ½ bunch | peppermint, roughly chopped |
| 1 tsp | Za'atar (spice mix) |
| 150 g | plain greek yoghurt |
| 1 | lime, cut into wedges |
How it's done
Halloumi
Mix the flour and paprika in a deep dish. Toss the halloumi in the mixture.
To deep-fry
Fill a pot to 1/3 with oil and heat it to approx. 170°C. Lower the halloumi fries into the oil in batches using a slotted spoon, deep-fry for approx. 1 min. while turning. Remove and drain on paper towels.
To serve
Plate up the halloumi fries, garnish with the pomegranate seeds, mint and za’atar. Serve with yoghurt and lime wedges.
