Crispy tofu bites

Ingredients

for 2 person

Marinade
organic lime, grated zest and the juice
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ bunch chives, finely chopped
garlic clove, squeezed
¼ tsp sugar
260 g tofu, plain, cut into approx. 2 cm cubes
2 tbsp white flour
To fry
4 tbsp oil, for frying
½ bunch chives, finely chopped

How it's done

Marinade

In a bowl, mix the lime zest and juice with all the other ingredients up to and including the sugar. Add the tofu and leave to infuse for approx. 5 mins. Remove the tofu, drain a little. Empty the flour into a deep dish, toss the tofu in the flour.

To fry

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the tofu, fry all over for approx. 4 mins., remove from the pan and plate up. Empty the remainder of the marinade into the pan, reduce to a syrupy sauce for approx. 2 mins. Mix in the chives, serve with the tofu.
