Vegan tarte flambée
Ingredients
for 4 person
5 tbsp | cashew cream |
5 tbsp | water |
1 tsp | apple vinegar |
½ tsp | miso paste |
1 tbsp | nutritional yeast |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
200 g | smoked tofu with chesnuts, cut into cubes |
1 | tarte flambée dough, rolled into a rectangle |
1 | red onion, cut into strips |
½ bunch | chives, finely chopped |
How it's done
Sauce
Combine the cashew butter with all the other ingredients up to and including the yeast, season.
Tofu
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the tofu for approx. 5 mins. until crispy, stirring occasionally, then set aside.
Tarte flambée
Roll out the dough and place on a tray along with the baking paper. Spread the sauce on top of the dough, top with the onion and tofu.
To bake
Approx. 10 mins. in an oven preheated to 220°C (convection). Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chives.
