It's so easy to make your own mixed nuts. Simply mix your favourite spices together and add a little liquid such as honey, oil or water to ensure the spices stick to the nuts. The main ingredient in this particular recipe is wasabi – a hot, green Japanese horseradish. You can use as much or as little as you like to suit your taste. In no time at all, you'll have a spicy snack or aperitif.
These mixed nuts will keep for around 2 weeks in a sealed container.

Ingredients

Mixed nuts

mustard |
| 2 tsp |
rapeseed oil |
| 2 tsp |
wasabi paste |
| 1 tsp |
honey |
| ½ tsp |
sea salt |

How it's done
Mixed nuts
Mix the mustard, oil, wasabi paste and honey in a bowl, season with salt, mix in the nuts, spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
To roast
Approx. 15 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 160 °C (convection). Slide the nuts off the tray along with the baking paper, leave to cool.
