Inspired by my holiday on a goat farm in Belgium, I naturally wanted to create a dish containing goat's cheese. And here you have it – an autumnal croque monsieur with fig mustard, pears, fresh goat's cheese and cured ham. Simply divine!

pear, sliced

How it's done

Croque monsieur

Spread the goat's cheese over half of the slices of bread, arrange the ham and pears on top. Spread the fig mustard over the remaining slices of bread, place on top of the ham and pears.
