Christmas tree skewers
Ingredients
for 12 pieces
1 | puff pastry dough, rolled into a rectangle (approx. 25 x 42 cm) |
2 tbsp | red tapenade |
1 tbsp | flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped |
12 slice | dry-cured country bacon, halved lengthwise |
12 | wooden skewers |
How it's done
Strips of puff pastry
Roll out the pastry, spread the tapenade and parsley over the top, cut the pastry lengthwise into 12 strips of equal width. Place 2 strips of bacon on each.
Shaping
Skewer the strips of pastry to create a wave pattern with a tip at the top. Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake
Approx. 13 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220°C.
