Mango tarte tatin
Ingredients
for 8 person
2 tbsp | butter, soft |
2 tbsp | sugar |
3 | mangoes (approx. 200 g each), cut into slices approx. 5 mm thick |
½ | lemon, the whole juice |
½ tbsp | ginger, finely grated |
1 | puff pastry dough, rolled into a rectangle |
How it's done
Dough
Spread the butter and sugar over the base of the oven tray. Drizzle the mango slices with lemon juice, arrange in layers on the sugar and top with the ginger. Prick the dough firmly with a fork. Loosely place the dough over the mangos. Make a rim between the mangoes and the edge of the tray.
To bake
Bake for approx. 35 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220°C. Remove, allow to cool a little, carefully turn onto a platter.
