Cheese salad with Valais bread
Ingredients
for 4 person
1 tbsp | clarified butter |
250 g | rye bread, cut into approx. 1 cm cubes |
30 g | walnut kernels, coarsely chopped |
1 | onion, cut into thin slices |
150 g | mountain cheese (e.g. Gomser, cut into cubes) |
1 | pear, cut into cubes |
50 g | dried meat (jerky), cut into strips |
½ tbsp | mustard |
4 tbsp | apple vinegar |
6 tbsp | rapeseed oil |
½ tsp | salt |
a little | pepper |
100 g | lambs' lettuce |
How it's done
Heat the butter in a frying pan and fry the bread and nuts for approx. 5 mins. until crisp all over. Mix the onions with all the ingredients up to and including the dried meat. Combine the mustard, vinegar and oil, season. Mix the dressing with the bread salad and serve with lamb's lettuce.
