Hot dogs with strawberry relish
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 150 g | strawberries, cut into cubes |
| 1 | shallot, finely chopped |
| 1 cm | ginger, finely grated |
| 1 tbsp | red wine vinegar |
| 1 tsp | sugar |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 4 | sausages (e.g. Merguez) |
| 4 | bread rolls (e.g. hot dog rolls or sandwich rolls) |
| 4 tbsp | mild mustard |
| 30 g | rocket |
| 4 tbsp | fried onions |
How it's done
Relish
In a bowl, mix the strawberries with all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, set aside.
Sausages
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the sausages, fry for approx. 5 mins. all over.
Hot dogs
Cut open the bread rolls lengthwise, spread the mustard and relish inside, fill each roll with a sausage. Finish off with the rocket and fried onions.
