French toast with chocolate
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 8 slice | toast bread |
| 4 tbsp | chocolate spread |
| 1 dl | milk |
| 2 | fresh eggs, beaten |
| ¼ tsp | bourbon vanilla powder |
| clarified butter for frying | |
| a little | icing sugar, to dust |
How it's done
French toast
Take 4 slices of bread and spread 1 tbsp of chocolate spread onto each. Place the remaining bread slices on top, press down gently. Add the milk, eggs and vanilla to a dish, mix well. Add the bread, allow to absorb for approx. 2 mins., turning once.
To fry
Heat a little clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat, allow the excess egg mixture to drip off the bread, place in a pan in batches, fry for approx. 2 mins. on each side until golden brown. Remove, plate up, dust with icing sugar.
