Tomato tonnato
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 1 tin | white tuna in oil (approx. 160 g), drained, broken into chunks |
| 2 tbsp | mayonnaise |
| 2 tbsp | capers, drained |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| 100 g | sour single cream |
| 2 ½ tbsp | capers |
| a little | pepper |
| a little | sea salt |
| 1 ½ tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | onion, cut into rings |
| 2 pinch | salt |
| 3 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
| 800 g | tomatoes, thinly sliced |
| ¼ tsp | sea salt |
| a little | pepper |
How it's done
Tuna sauce
Place the tuna in a measuring cup along with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, puree, add the sour single cream, mix.
Capers
Heat the oil in a small pan, add the drained capers, fry for approx. 4 mins. until crispy. Remove, drain on kitchen paper.
Balsamic onion
Place the onion in the same pan, sauté for approx. 10 mins. Add the balsamic, reduce to a syrupy consistency.
To serve
Spread the tuna sauce on a plate, top with the tomatoes and onion, sprinkle with the capers, season.
