Spaghetti with caramelized onions
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 1 tbsp | butter |
| ½ tbsp | olive oil |
| 4 | onions, thinly sliced |
| 1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
| ½ tsp | sugar |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 300 g | spaghetti |
| salted water, boiling |
| 1 tbsp | white balsamic vinegar |
| 40 g | Parmesan |
| 2 dl | single cream for sauces |
| salt and pepper to taste |
How it's done
Caramelized onions
Heat the butter and oil in a frying pan. Add the onions, sauté for approx. 10 mins. Add the garlic and sugar, continue to cook for approx. 10 mins. until the onions are caramelized, season.
Spaghetti
Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente, drain and reserve approx. 100 ml of the cooking water.
Sauce
Add the balsamic, cooking water and spaghetti to the onions, mix. Add the parmesan and cream, mix well, season.
