Fleischkäse sandwich
Ingredients
for 4 pieces
| 100 g | celery, thinly sliced |
| 1 | red onion, cut into thin rings |
| 1 tbsp | white wine vinegar |
| 2 pinch | salt |
| oil for frying | |
| 4 slice | meatloaf (approx. 130 g each) |
| oil for frying | |
| 4 | fresh eggs |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| 3 tbsp | coarse-grain mustard |
| 4 slice | Gruyère |
| 4 | lye rolls, cut in half crosswise |
| 4 | iceberg lettuce leaves, torn into pieces |
How it's done
Celery
Place the celery, onion and vinegar in a small bowl, mix, season with salt, set aside.
Fleischkäse (meatloaf)
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the meatloaf in batches for approx. 3 mins. on each side.
Fried eggs
Heat a dash of oil in the same frying pan. Crack the eggs one at a time, carefully sliding them into the pan. Reduce the heat, fry the eggs for approx. 4 mins., season with salt.
Sandwiches
Spread mustard over the cut surfaces of the bread. Top with the cheese, Fleischkäse (meatloaf), lettuce and the reserved celery. Arrange the fried eggs on top, place the little plaited bread rolls on top.
