Spicy honey pizza
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 500 g | white flour |
| 1 ½ tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | sugar |
| ½ cube | yeast (approx. 20 g), crumbled |
| 3 ½ dl | water |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 ½ tbsp | olive oil |
| 2 | garlic cloves, sliced |
| 3 | red chillies, deseeded, finely chopped |
| 4 sprig | thyme, leaves torn off |
| 1 tbsp | honey |
| 200 g | Basilico tomato sauce |
| 100 g | salami in slices |
| 300 g | mozzarella, torn into pieces |
How it's done
Dough
Mix the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Pour in the water and oil, mix and knead to form a soft, smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise at room temperature for approx. 2 hrs. until doubled in size.
Chilli & honey
Add oil and garlic to a pan, fry for approx. 3 mins. until crispy. Reduce the heat, add the chillies and thyme, sauté briefly, add to the honey, mix, set aside.
To shape
Place two baking trays in the cold oven, preheat the oven to 220 °C. Divide the dough into quarters, shape into 4 balls, flatten a little. On a lightly floured surface, stretch the dough into circles, transfer each pizza base to a sheet of baking paper.
Topping
Spread the tomato sauce over the bases. Top with salami.
To bake
Carefully slide two pizzas (incl. baking paper) onto the hot baking tray, bake for approx. 15 mins. Remove from the oven, arrange the mozzarella on top, bake for a further 5 mins. Drizzle a little chilli oil over the top. Bake and top the remaining pizza in the same way.
