Hot honey minced beef bowl
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 2 tsp | smoked paprika |
| 2 tsp | cumin |
| 1 tsp | onion powder |
| 1 tsp | garlic powder |
| 1 tsp | dried oregano |
| 1 tsp | chilli flakes |
| 1 ½ tsp | salt |
| 600 g | sweet potatoes, cut into approx. 2 cm cubes |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 4 tbsp | liquid honey |
| 1 tsp | Sriracha sauce |
| a little | chilli flakes |
| olive oil for frying | |
| 400 g | minced meat (beef) |
| 2 | avocados, cut into cubes |
| 400 g | plain cottage cheese |
How it's done
Taco seasoning
Place the paprika in a bowl with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, mix well.
Sweet potatoes
Place the sweet potatoes and olive oil in a bowl, add half of the taco seasoning, mix well, and spread onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
To roast
Approx. 20 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 220 °C.
Hot honey
Place the honey, Sriracha sauce and chilli flakes in a small bowl, mix well, set aside.
Mince
Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan. Add the meat, fry for approx. 5 mins. Sprinkle with the remainder of the taco seasoning, mix. Remove the pan from the heat.
Bowl
Serve the avocados and cottage cheese with the sweet potatoes and meat in the bowls. Drizzle with the hot honey.
