Air fryer chips
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | onion, finely chopped |
| 1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
| 200 g | tomatoes, cut into pieces |
| 2 tbsp | apple vinegar |
| ¼ tsp | cinnamon |
| 1 pinch | ground cloves |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 2 tbsp | potato starch |
| ½ tsp | mild paprika |
| 1 kg | waxy potato xx |
| ½ tsp | salt |
How it's done
Ketchup
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for approx. 3 mins. Add the tomatoes, cook for approx. 2 mins. Add the vinegar and all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, mix, cover and simmer over a low heat for approx. 10 mins., stirring occasionally. Remove the lid, reduce for approx. 5 mins., puree and leave to cool.
Potatoes
Mix the oil, potato starch and paprika in a bowl. Add the potatoes, mix, arrange in the frying basket.
Air fry
Approx. 35 mins. at 200 °C, turning the potatoes occasionally. Remove, season the chips with salt, plate up. Serve with ketchup.
