Roasted honey Zopf slices
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 50 g | butter, soft |
| 2 tbsp | sweetened condensed milk |
| 1 tbsp | liquid honey |
| 1 | egg yolk |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 400 g | zopf bread, cut into 12 slices |
| 1 dl | full cream, beaten until light and frothy |
| 100 g | sour single cream |
| 250 g | strawberries, cut in half or into quarters |
| 1 tbsp | liquid honey |
How it's done
Zopf
Place the butter in a bowl along with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, mix well. Place the Zopf slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush with the butter mixture.
To bake
Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove from the oven, leave to cool on a rack.
Strawberries
Combine the whipped cream and sour single cream, spread over the Zopf slices. Top with the strawberries, drizzle with the honey.
