Semolina with apple slices
Ingredients
for 2 people
| 2 | apples, deseeded, thinly sliced |
| 1 tbsp | lemon juice |
| 1 tbsp | sugar |
| ½ tsp | cinnamon |
| 1 dl | water |
| 3 dl | water |
| 100 g | crème fraîche |
| 2 tbsp | sugar |
| ½ tsp | ground cardamom |
| 2 pinch | salt |
| 40 g | durum wheat semolina |
| 100 g | crème fraîche |
How it's done
Apple slices
Place the apples in a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the water, mix and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cook for approx. 10 mins. until just soft, stirring occasionally.
Semolina
Pour the water into a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, mix, bring to the boil. Stir in the semolina, simmer for approx. 5 mins. over a very low heat, stirring constantly to form a thick paste.
To serve
Garnish the semolina with the apple slices, top with the crème fraîche.
