Toast bread
Ingredients
for 1 bread
500 g | white flour |
1 tbsp | sugar |
1 ½ tsp | salt |
½ cube | yeast (approx. 20 g), crumbled |
3 dl | water |
50 g | butter |
a little | white flour |
How it's done
Dough
Mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a bowl. Add the water and butter, mix into a soft, smooth dough using the dough hook on a food processor for approx. 10 mins. on a low setting. Cover and leave to rise at room temperature for approx. 1 hr. until doubled in size.
To shape
Flatten the dough a little, shape into a roll (approx. 25 cm), place in the prepared tin. Cover and leave to rise again for approx. 30 mins., then dust with a little flour.
To bake
Approx. 45 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 180 °C. Remove, allow to cool slightly. Remove the toast bread from the tin, leave to cool on a rack.
