Strawberry brownies

Strawberries taste divine when dipped in melted chocolate. But you can add them to a brownie mixture, too. Chocolate and fruit are an unbeatable combination. The strawberries bring lightness and a touch of summer to the brownies. Fresh from the oven (or not), they taste delicious with Fior di Latte ice cream.

Ingredients

for 25 pieces

Mixture
100 g butter
300 g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
Chocolate brownie mixture
eggs
90 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla paste
1 pinch salt
100 g white flour
100 g cashew nuts
200 g strawberries, cut in half or into quarters

How it's done

Mixture

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the chocolate, melt over a low heat while stirring, allow to cool slightly.

Chocolate brownie mixture

Place the eggs, sugar, vanilla paste and salt in a bowl, beat until light and fluffy using the whisk on a mixer. Stir in the chocolate. Mix in the flour. Mix in the cashews and strawberries, transfer the brownie mixture to the prepared tin.

To bake

Approx. 30 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 180 °C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly in the tin, remove from the tin along with the baking paper, slide onto a rack and leave to cool completely. Cut the brownies into squares.
