Black Forest tiramisu
Ingredients
for 6 people
| 600 g | cherries, pitted |
| 2 tbsp | water |
| 1 tbsp | icing sugar |
| 2 ½ tbsp | kirsch |
| 2 ½ dl | full cream, beaten until stiff |
| 400 g | crème fraîche |
| 3 tbsp | icing sugar |
| 200 g | whole-grain biscuits (e.g. Roland Petite Pause Choco) |
| 30 g | chocolate shavings |
How it's done
Cherries
Mix the cherries, water and icing sugar in a pan, cover and simmer over a low heat for approx. 10 mins. until soft, leave to cool. Add the kirsch.
Cream
Place the whipped cream, crème fraîche and sugar in a bowl, mix carefully.
Tiramisu
Place half of the biscuits in the dish, top with ⅓ of the cherries and a little of the juice, spread half of the cream on top, smooth down, cover with the remainder of the biscuits. Top with ⅓ of the cherries along with a little of the juice and the remainder of the cream, cover and chill for approx. 4 hrs. Chill the remainder of the cherries.
Topping
Decorate the tiramisu with the chilled cherries, sprinkle with the chocolate shavings.
