This chopped Italian sandwich is an Italian-style sandwich made with chopped ingredients. It's super easy to prepare and incredibly tasty. It's no wonder that it went viral on social media! Every bite is made up of a delicious mixture of all the ingredients, meaning that every mouthful is just perfect. Since I first tried it, it has become one of my favourite sandwiches.

Ingredients

for 4 people

baguette
200 g head lettuce, roughly chopped
tomatoes, in slices
red onion, cut into rings
100 g ham in slices
60 g salami in slices
80 g roasted peppers in oil, drained, in fine stripes
4 tbsp mayonnaise
10  basil leaves
1 tsp Italian herbs
a little  pepper

How it's done

Quarter the baguette, cut open, set aside. Place the lettuce on a large chopping board along with all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, chop, mix, fill the pieces of baguette.
