Grilled halloumi with honey and sesame seeds

Ingredients

for 4 people

Marinade
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp liquid acacia honey
¾ tsp ground coriander seeds
a little  pepper
500 g halloumi, cut in half lengthwise and crosswise
Crumb coating
40 g salted peanuts, finely chopped
1 tbsp black sesame seeds
½ tbsp liquid acacia honey

How it's done

Marinade

Mix the oil and honey in a small bowl, season. Brush the halloumi with a little of the marinade, set aside the remainder of the marinade.

Charcoal/gas/electric grill

With the lid up, grill the halloumi over/on a medium heat (approx. 200 °C) for approx. 4 mins. on each side.

Crumb coating

Mix the peanuts and sesame seeds in a shallow dish. Brush the halloumi with the reserved marinade, toss the halloumi in the crumb coating, press down gently, serve on a platter. Drizzle with honey.
