Tortilla burger
Ingredients
for 2 people
| 80 g | mayonnaise |
| 50 g | cornichons, finely chopped |
| ½ tbsp | mustard |
| ½ tsp | mild paprika |
| 300 g | minced meat (beef) |
| ½ tsp | mild paprika |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 4 | wheat tortillas (each approx. 20 cm in diameter) |
| oil for frying | |
| 120 g | Cheddar, coarsely grated |
| 150 g | iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced |
How it's done
Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, cornichons, mustard and paprika.
Tortillas
Place the meat and paprika in a bowl, season, mix. Knead well by hand until the ingredients form a compact mass. With wet hands, divide the mixture into 4 portions, place onto the tortillas and flatten, leaving a border of approx. 2 cm all the way around.
Tortilla burger
Heat a dash of oil in a frying pan. Place one tortilla in the pan, the meat facing down, reduce the heat, fry for approx. 2 mins. Turn the tortilla over, spread ¼ of the cheese on top, cover and fry over a low heat for approx. 1 min. until cooked. Remove from the pan, top with ¼ of the sauce and sliced lettuce, fold the tortilla, keep warm. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas.
