Squash smoothie

Most people are familiar with summer smoothies made with berries and fruits. In winter there is not such a wide selection of fruits, which is what makes a squash smoothie with cinnamon an ideal combination! This smoothie is also great for using leftover squash puree.

Ingredients

for 4 people

Squash
250 g squash (e.g. Hokkaido, cut into pieces)
  salted water, boiling
Smoothie
5 dl milk
bananas, cut into pieces
dates, pitted
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp vanilla paste

How it's done

Squash

Cook the squash in boiling salted water for approx. 15 mins. until very soft. Drain the squash, puree until smooth and leave to cool.

Smoothie

Puree the squash with milk, bananas, dates, cinnamon and vanilla in a mixing glass until smooth.
