Caramelized cinnamon pretzels

Ingredients

for 450 g

Pretzels
250 g sugar
½ dl water
250 g mini salted pretzels
¾ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp aniseed, finely crushed

How it's done

Pretzels

Bring the sugar and water to the boil in a wide pan without stirring. Reduce the heat, simmer for approx. 8 mins. until some of the water has evaporated. Add the pretzels, continue to stir with a wooden spoon until the sugar melts again and a light brown caramel forms and coats the pretzels. Add the cinnamon and aniseed. Spread the pretzels on a sheet of baking paper, leave to cool.
