Vanilla syrup
Ingredients
for 5 dl
2 ½ dl | water |
250 g | sugar |
2 | vanilla pods, halved lengthwise |
3 dl | sparkling mineral water |
How it's done
Syrup
Place the water, sugar and vanilla pods in a pan, bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Turn down the heat, reduce for approx. 10 mins., stirring occasionally. Place the vanilla pods in the clean, warm bottles. While still boiling hot, pour the syrup into the bottles using a funnel and fill to just below the rim. Seal the bottles immediately, leave to cool, shake well before serving.
Serve
Add 300 ml of mineral water to 1½ tbsp of vanilla syrup.
