Roasted pears with ice cream
Ingredients
for 4 people
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| ¼ tsp | cinnamon |
| 2 | pears, halved, deseeded |
| 2 tbsp | sugar |
| 50 g | white flour |
| 30 g | walnuts, coarsely chopped |
| ¼ tsp | baking powder |
| 20 g | sugar |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 30 g | butter |
| 4 ball | coconut ice cream (e.g. Fine Food Gelato al latte con noce do coco) |
How it's done
Pears
Mix the oil and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush the pears with the mixture, dip the cut surfaces in the sugar. Place the pears (cut side down) on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Crumble
In a bowl, mix the flour with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt. Add the butter, rub together using your hands to form a crumbly mixture. Spread the crumble on the baking paper next to the pears.
Bake
Approx. 15 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, plate up the pears.
Serve
Top the pears with the scoops of ice cream and the crumble, serve immediately.
