Chai granola
Ingredients
for 480 g
| 1 | fresh egg white |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 200 g | rolled oats |
| 150 g | macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped |
| 100 g | almond slivers |
| 5 tbsp | agave syrup |
| 50 g | popped amaranth |
| ½ tsp | cinnamon |
| ½ tsp | ginger powder |
| ¼ tsp | ground cardamom |
| ¼ tsp | ground cloves |
How it's done
Beaten egg whites
Beat the egg white with the salt until stiff.
Granola mix
Mix the oats, nuts and almonds in a bowl. Add the beaten egg whites with the syrup, mix, spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Bake
Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 180 °C, turning 3-4 times. Remove, allow to cool slightly.
Granola
Mix the amaranth and all the other ingredients into the warm granola, leave to cool. Transfer the granola to jars, seal tightly.
